SIMPLY BRIDAL PARENTS ETIQUETTE
In the past the brides parents used to pay for everything.
Now anyone can foot the bill.
Next to the bride and groom the brides mother is next in importance.
She may need escorting up the aisle as the father may be with the bride.
Traditionally mums are tearful and need handling with care and consideration.
The Father usually gives a speech at the reception, the speech should centre on how lovely, radiant, gorgeous
successful etc the bride is and what a lucky man the groom is to get her.
The Bridegrooms parents have very few responsibilities.
They may provide a list of guests to whoever is sending the invitations, but
generally they should just look charming and not comment on how they could have done better!
After all it is the bride and grooms day!
